Rachel & Steven had a wonderful unseasonably summers day for their wedding last September. They chose to get married at the All Saints’ Church. Situated in the beautiful estate village of Ripley followed by a reception at Ripley Castle itself. Ripley Castle is a Grade I listed 14th-century country house in Ripley, North Yorkshire, England, 3 miles north of Harrogate. They offer an excellent range of packages, which can be used as a base from which to plan your perfect day with the help of their experienced and dedicated wedding coordinators, who are on hand at all times to help make your day special to you. #RipleyCastleWeddings https://www.ripleycastle.co.uk/weddings/
Bridal Preparation at The Boar’s Head Ripley
Rachel and her bridesmaids got ready and enjoyed some girly time in accommodation provided by the Boar’s Head, the pub in Ripley village. The Boar’s Head is a beautiful old Coaching Inn. It is part of the Ripley Castle Estate and one of the Great Inns of Britain.
Meeting The Groom, Bestman & ushers at The Boar’s Head Ripley
I met Steven and the guys outside the Boar’s head and enjoyed capturing images of them as a group, Steven with his Best man Tony and the Groom alone.

Bride & Groom Wedding portraits at Ripley Castle
Whilst Rachel & Steven’s family & friends enjoyed a drinks reception at Ripley Castle I pinched the Bride & Groom for a private 20 min Portrait session. On our wedding preshoot, we had already toured the grounds and taken lots of fun portrits in various locations, so on the wedding day we already had our favourite locations selected and we could work pretty fast as we knew the poses and were familiar with one another
Group Wedding Photography at Ripley Castle
Rejoining their guests we were ready to take the family group photographs, this list has already been selected and agreed upon by Rachel & Steven at their wedding pre-shoot session, albeit lots of additional candids are thrown in with the main family groups and wedding bridal party shots. I always start with a big everyone shot and this was particularly easy to take at Ripley castle from a high up opening window. Whilst at this high vantage point Rachel had chosen to throw her bouquet, this is always a great angle to capture the ladies expectant faces and the victor waving her spoils !
